The definitive guide to getting your car out of the snow

What you'll need:

Snow broom with a telescoping pole. Or a regular broom.

Snow shovel

Sturdy metal shovel or garden spade (optional)

Ice scraper

Deicer (optional)

Before the snow

After the storm

Ice, ice, baby

Be gone

3.) Snow, off the car please. Using the telescoping brush or broom, get the snow piled on the car off first. It'll mean more to shovel, but it's better than ending up with a huge roof pompadour at the end that'll have to be cleaned off anyway, and in some places you'll risk a ticket for driving around top-heavy with snow.
